With an extensive entrepreneurial background in e-commerce, online media and retail marketing in South Africa, UK and Australia, the opportunities presented by the explosion of the Group Buying and Daily Deal sector in Australia were too exciting to ignore.
After initially being involved directly with the Daily Deal sector, Stephen established Deal Focus in late 2011 to represent the interests of the merchants in negotiating contract terms and conditions with the Daily Deal vendors.
Deal Focus was the first brokering service established in Australia in the Daily Deal market and continues to grow its client base through its commitment to providing unbiased, impartial advice that assists merchants to optimise the potential ROI from running promotional campaigns through the group buying sales channel.
Stephen has recently been appointed Sales & Marketing Director at ddanalytics, a live platform providing real time sales analysis and reporting in the Daily Deal sector to assist sales management structure sales strategy and forecast sales trends.
While Stephen keeps one foot firmly planted in the present, the other is planted in the future, constantly exploring and engaged in discussion to find new opportunities where Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation can change the way business is conducted to benefit society.
