Search Job Market Moves Into Overdrive
Not On The Breadline
INTEREST in search optimisation and marketing among major advertising agencies and corporates has exploded, resulting in unprecedented demand for skilled staff, according to a leading recruitment agency.

Sally Mills from LaVolta said she has been inundated with staffing requests and had a slew of search jobs on her books. “Over the last three months in particular there’s been a lot more requests for people with a search skill set.”

She said interest has been especially strong among media buying agencies, while inhouse search specialists are increasingly being recruited as part of the marketing team by major companies.

LaVolta is currently recruiting a Paid Search Marketing Manager and an SEM/SEO Marketing Manager for a fast-growing international media agency.

The successful applicants will manage and run search campaigns for clients, taking day-to-day responsibility for their operation, ensuring they meet client performance targets.

“We also need staff for an international advertising agency that will be launching their new search brand very soon in the Australian market,” she said.

“In addition we have clients in entertainment, travel, media and gaming all have a requirement for a Search capability within their Marketing department.

“So on that note, we would love to hear from Search Gurus.”
