Ansearch: Rapid Sales Growth

By Martin Kelly, Editor, Search Engine Room

SEARCH and digital display advertising company, Ansearch, dramatically lifted sales during the December quarter to A$1.87 million – a 60% increase over the previous three months.

The Melbourne outfit, which owns local search engines Ansearch.com.au and Anzwers.com.au, sells text and display ads across a range of sites in Australia and overseas.

Listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, Ansearch has agreements with both Google and Yahoo! to distribute their ads across its partner network in Australasia.

It also has a subsidiary (Soush) that specializes in ad sales for websites plus a couple of advertising technical solutions.

When contacted for comment, CEO Dean Jones was happy to talk up the recent results but would not go into detail about the Ansearch distribution network or business model.

“We have to be very careful about what I say because there are a lot of companies out there trying to replicate our business model,” he claimed.

“Within 30 minutes of the Google deal being announced, five companies had called them wanting to know why they hadn’t been included.

“What they didn’t realise was that it took us a year’s work to get that off the ground.”

Jones predicted January sales would continue the upward trend.
