Dean has had a varied career starting in business consulting, marketing and advertising with big business via Arthur Andersen and a small advertising agency that launched Microsoft in Australia.
He then translated business strategy into code with Australia’s leading web development agency Hothouse Interactive during the dotcom boom of 1999 to 2001.
His first entrepreneurial venture was a bar and restaurant which sold in 2003, followed by a technology startup company providing a patented online restaurant reservation system called Booking Angel.
Booking Angel was nominated as one of the Top 100 Startups in Silicon Valley in 2007 and was ranked number seven Web 2.0 application by BRW Magazine.
Spreets which launched in February 2010 is Dean’s second technology start-up and was acquired by Yahoo7 in January 2011 for a reported $40 million.
