Daily Travel Deal Too Good To Be True
March 13, 2012: The deal sounded too good to be true – and in the end it was. Just $889 for a five-star villa with private pool at The Elysian in Bali, 73% off the standard $3245 weekly rate, bought by 71 people through WhyPayFullPrice.com.au (WPFP).
But now they can't redeem their vouchers because The Elysian is telling them it has not been paid by Villas Indonesia, which apparently negotiated the deal (and others it seems).
The good news is after a storm of protest on TripAdvisor WPFP will apparently either provide alternative accommodation or a refund for those that bought the Elysian vouchers.
