Hi there, 

Online News and Events is a relatively new site that evolved out of Search Engine Room. All content is written and researched by me - Martin Kelly, a Sydney-based journalist, publisher and event producer.

After a couple of years focusing on TravelTrends.biz and other ventures - which did not give me time to run the successful Search Engine Room conference in either 2010 or 2011 - I've decided that digital is worth another look.

But this time it's going to be different, not so tightly focussed. Search will still be part of the mix but I'll also be covering e-commerce, social and the daily deals sector.

There's a couple of conferences planned. The first is Group Buying Summit in Sydney on May 7 and I'm also planning on reprising Search Engine Room in mid-November.

Why not? Nothing's filled the gap and SER has always worked well. I have a couple of other ideas. Let's see how they pan out.
